Company Overview

With a strong presence on both iOS and Android, WalkFit is particularly popular among Android users in the US, Brazil, and India, and among iOS users in the US, UK, and Canada. The app supports multiple languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Ukrainian.

WalkFit is free to download. To access all features, users can choose from a variety of subscription plans and in-app purchases, including weekly, monthly, annual, and lifetime options. Additional guides are also available to enhance the walking experience.

Challenge

WalkFit’s rapid global expansion brought a necessity to effectively reach users in different countries. Using only one language for campaigns wasn’t enough to engage a diverse audience, and WalkFit needed a way to connect with users in their native languages.

A challenge was managing the complexity of sending messages in multiple languages within a single campaign. Without a streamlined solution, the team had to deal with long message lists and chaotic reports for each message, making the process time-consuming and inefficient.

To overcome these hurdles, WalkFit sought a robust multilingual messaging solution that could deliver targeted communications to users in their native languages while optimizing campaign management.

Solution

Reteno made it easier for WalkFit to run and manage their multilingual campaigns by automating the sending process, centralizing all language versions in one place, and auto-generating clear performance reports.

Smarter Multilingual Campaigns

Reteno offered condition blocks for multilingual campaigns, providing more control over messaging. This feature allowed WalkFit to manage and send separate messages in different languages within a single campaign while maintaining full organization.

Unified Multilingual Messaging

For Email and Mobile Push notifications, WalkFit created a single template with messages in different languages, and Reteno automatically detected each user’s language to send the correct version. All of this was managed directly within the platform, without needing to switch between tools.

Additionally, WalkFit could use Google Spreadsheets to store all language variants in one place. This setup allowed them to create a single campaign template with dynamic variables linked to the spreadsheet, so that the system would automatically send the correct message version for each language.

Effortless Campaign Management

The platform brought all language variants together in one place, helping the WalkFit team keep their messaging organized and up to date. Things became easier because there was no need to create separate segments for each language. Also, Reteno’s performance reports provided clear data without manual tracking, allowing marketers to monitor campaigns effectively.

Result

WalkFit achieved impressive results:

  • CTR increased by 54%
  • Conversions rose by 19%

Delivering messages in users' preferred languages improved communication and significantly boosted the performance of WalkFit’s campaigns. WalkFit connected more effectively with its global audience, which led to stronger engagement, higher sign-ups, and ultimately contributed to the app’s continued growth and user retention.

Why This Matters for You

For apps with a global user base, personalized messaging in multiple languages is essential for engagement. In our observations, adding a message in another language can increase CTR by up to 1.5x and improve conversion by up to 40%. Reteno simplifies this by allowing you to send messages in various languages within a single campaign, ensuring each user receives communication in their preferred language without adding complexity.
